AMD up against Nvidia at GDC 2017: Vega vs GTX 1080 Ti

amd-vs-nvidia

The Game Developers Conference this year just got a ton more exciting as the long time graphics card market rivals battle each other. Though this time, we may witness AMD get real close to beating or even beat Nvidia and take the crown. The companies planned both events on the same day that is February 28.

It was AMD first to come up and invite the press to their event "Capsaicin & Cream Developer Sessions" via Eventbrite. It surely is like they are about to reveal their Radeon Vega graphics cards. The AMD's Vega is really hyped and long awaited series of cards just like their Ryzen CPU series. It is said to bring innovative features and whole new 14nm architecture (while Nvidia's Pascal generation is 16nm). Nvidia's immediate answer is obviously the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in their event. The card is an upgrade to the 1080 - the current Nvidia flagship. Fans may have wanted Nvidia to just reveal their next-gen Volta series to go head to head against Vega. But Nvidia might have other plans here it seems. We're not sure what it's gonna be but we get the feeling that its the 1080 Ti. Nvidia might also announce some other hardware and software in the event. GeForce Now - a game streaming software might be it.

So whatever they both are up to, February 28 will be huge and every gamer is expecting the day. So stay here with us as we post more about the launches as they happen. Leave your thoughts in comments below.
