facebook-like-box-blogger-1

Have a Facebook page for your blog or website? Then it is a good idea to add the Facebook like box widget to it for more exposure and likes. If you don't have a Facebook page, it is probably good to have one actually. So go ahead and create yours now. It is a simple and effective tool that helps your blog/site grow.

So here we show you two simple ways to add the Facebook like box widget to your blog. Follow the steps below and you can have the like box on your blog in a matter of minutes.

Method 1:

facebook-like-box-blogger

  1. In this method, you just use the code below with some tweaks. This is a bit easier as it only involves one step to add the Facebook like box widget.
  2. Go to your Template and add an HTML/Javascript widget.
  3. Copy and paste the code below. Just enter your page URL after the facebook.com/ replacing the text "URL" there. You can also adjust the width and height of the box by changing those values.

<iframe src='//www.facebook.com/plugins/likebox.php? href=https://www.facebook.com/URL&amp;width=320&amp;height=250&amp; amp;colorscheme=light&amp;show_faces=true&amp;border_color&amp;stream=false&amp;header=false&amp;' style='border: none; height: 250px;  overflow: hidden; width: 320px;'>
</iframe>

Method 2:

facebook-like-box-blogger

  1. Another way is to just visit Facebook developers website and copy paste the code they provide into your blog. This way allows you to change the widget properties easily without editing the code yourself.
  2. For that, go here or here based on your preference. First one is just the like button and the second one adds a window with faces of people that liked your page before with a Like button. If you have trouble choosing, I suggest you just use the method 1.
  3. After that, just fill out the details they ask. Your page's URL, the like box's dimensions, layout and other properties are set here. So make all the changes here unless you are ready to make them yourself in the iframe code later.
  4. After all that, press "Get code" button. Switch to "IFrame" tab.
  5. Copy the code that appears.
  6. Then navigate to Layout tab on Blogger and add an HTML widget like you usually do and copy/paste the second set of codes.
That's it. You now have your own Facebook like box widget for your page on your blog. Now your readers can like your page and follow you on Facebook. Drop us a comment below if you need any assistance or a tip.

AMD shook Intel and Nvidia is next - The Ryzen & Vega Era?

amd-ryzen

For almost a decade, both the CPU and GPU markets were dominated by the Intel and Nvidia. They pretty much were like monopolies and topped all the sales chart. AMD, the rivalry of both Intel and Nvidia was only able to compete them (a bit) in low-range, budget segment. But that too started changing as it seemed like AMD was done trying. If you thought the same, well, you were wrong and it is all different now or is going to be at least. AMD has started to make a strong comeback. Really strong. The announcements of Ryzen (initially Zen) CPU and Vega GPU architectures was made quite a while ago and after enough waiting, the company is about to launch the finished products to battle their rivals.

Ryzen 7 1800X beating i7-6900K?

amd-ryzen-chip
AMD Ryzen

AMD Ryzen 7 series of CPUs are built to go head to head versus the present Intel Core i7 series of CPUs and they have also priced very aggressively. The costliest Ryzen, the Ryzen 1800X (8 core, 16 thread) is only $489 while the i7-6900K (6 core, 12 thread) is a whopping $1,100. Ryzen 1800X also reportedly beats i7-6900K in all aspects. It is clocked at 3.6 GHz which can go all the way up to 4 GHz. In the previews of the CPU, Ryzen outperformed Intel's i7-6900K by 10 percent. They also describe how the Ryzen 1800X only has a TDP of 90W while the i7-6900K has 140W. And all these at $500 is a real good buy if you ask me. Yeah, Intel, it is time to slash those prices down.

It doesn't stop there. Every Ryzen chip in each budget outperforms and costs lesser than Intel. The 1770X costs $389 has a clock speed of 3.4 GHz (boost up to 3.8 GHz). It is also an 8 core, 16 thread chip aimed to attack Intel i7-6800K (costs $1,049).  The 1700 costs $319 with 3 GHz (boost to 3.7 GHz). It is termed as the "world's lowest power consuming 8 core processor" with a TDP of 65W.

Vega to come in Q2

And the AMD's contender to Nvidia's next flagship GPU. They have already scheduled to announce the Vega series at the GDC where Nvidia is also expected to release their 1080 Ti GPU. It will be considered as the Nvidia's top tier graphics card once it's out. But it's worth noting that their whole new architecture, the Volta is not yet out and Nvidia may be looking at AMD to release Vega first. Both conferences on same day reflect Nvidia's thinking. Ahead of the announcement at the MWC in Barcelona, new images by @evleaks comes out revealing the looks of the phone. The smartphone looks solid with better overall design than its predecessor, the G5. G5 was more of an experimental phone from LG which was not really their best seller.

The image clearly suggests dual rear cameras and the fingerprint cum power button below them. The bezels are very thin giving almost a bezel-less feel on the front. The display edges are rounded to match the round edges of the device which looks cool and is new from LG. The left side has the volume rockers while on the right is what it looks like a SIM card/MicroSD slot. There is no physical buttons or anything in the front of the device except the regular selfie cam, earpiece, and sensors on the top. Another image from leak suggests that the phone will also come in white color.

LG will be there on February 26 at the Mobile World Congress stalls unveiling the G6. It is expected to get launched on March 10 before Samsung's Galaxy S8 launch to get a head start in the sale. Tell us what you think in the comment section.

Indian volcano in Barren Island active again

The India's only volcano which was dormant until the 1990s is said to be active again. It was seen erupting and spewing lava and gases by the scientists from Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and National Institute of Oceanography (NIO).

The Barren Island, in the eastern coasts of the Andaman Islands, is the place where the volcano named the Barren Island volcano is located. It is said to be the only volcano of South Asia. Last known eruption of the volcano was in 2005. Indian scientists from between January 23 and 25 observed the volcano from a distance to see lava and smoke coming out of the volcano's mouth for 5-10 minutes. The NIO and CSIR scientists also collected samples from the Andaman basin to check its composition, although they didn't land on the volcano. "We are checking the composition of the lava and powdering the black sand to figure out the components," Abhay Mudholkar of NIO. They are hoping to find the reason why the volcano is getting active again after a decade.

AMD up against Nvidia at GDC 2017: Vega vs GTX 1080 Ti

amd-vs-nvidia

The Game Developers Conference this year just got a ton more exciting as the long time graphics card market rivals battle each other. Though this time, we may witness AMD get real close to beating or even beat Nvidia and take the crown. The companies planned both events on the same day that is February 28.

It was AMD first to come up and invite the press to their event "Capsaicin & Cream Developer Sessions" via Eventbrite. It surely is like they are about to reveal their Radeon Vega graphics cards. The AMD's Vega is really hyped and long awaited series of cards just like their Ryzen CPU series. It is said to bring innovative features and whole new 14nm architecture (while Nvidia's Pascal generation is 16nm). Nvidia's immediate answer is obviously the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in their event. The card is an upgrade to the 1080 - the current Nvidia flagship. Fans may have wanted Nvidia to just reveal their next-gen Volta series to go head to head against Vega. But Nvidia might have other plans here it seems. We're not sure what it's gonna be but we get the feeling that its the 1080 Ti. Nvidia might also announce some other hardware and software in the event. GeForce Now - a game streaming software might be it.

So whatever they both are up to, February 28 will be huge and every gamer is expecting the day. So stay here with us as we post more about the launches as they happen. Leave your thoughts in comments below.

What we know about the LG G6

LG G6
LG G6

Latest: LG G6 reveals itself on new images; MWC announcement

Smartphones are always getting increasingly smart and essential and it is still the case now in 2017. Flagship smartphones of top brands are about to get launched in the market. Samsung with its Galaxy S8 and LG has G6. It was not very long ago, LG launched V20 which is their current flagship (successor of LG V10). Cut to the chase, the next LG flagship: LG G6 started appearing through online leaks couple of weeks ago. Few images of leaks here (Click to enlarge).

LG G6

LG G6

The leaks (Images are from @OnLeaks) suggest that we can expect a bezel-less screen in front, dual cameras like LG did with their recent phones with a fingerprint sensor on the back. They have added more premium looks. It looks like the V20 and G5 combined with metal construction and a Korean site suggests that LG may go with tempered glass back too. We can also expect the wide angle front and rear cameras (Thanks to the dual camera setup LG has) and wireless charging capabilities. The phone will come out with Google's Android Nougat 7.0.

On the hardware front, the G5 used Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC which is pretty powerful even for today. So LG might upgrade to a newer, more powerful Snapdragon SoC with 4GB of RAM. The display might be at least 2K and even be 4K if we are lucky. LG is pretty strong in display innovations so I'm willing to bet that LG will delight us there. USB-C type is most probable type of port we can see and the 3.5mm jack will be there as LG recently teased it and other features in Twitter. So that's about it. We will write when we have more concrete info on the phone and launch dates.
